The Pintea Viteazul case

The imaginary can often be stronger and more fertile than objective reality. I was not interested in making a documentary theatre show. The historical Pintea character is difficult to build, if not impossible; the information about this case is often severed or contradictory. And even if it were not, I would not be interested in documentary theatre. I was interested more than the historical character in the fact that a large part of the people of the Maramureş area needed, over time, to fabulous around this symbolic character, to build mythological scenarios in which we find the signs, the elements, the joints of the sea myths of heroes or fighters everywhere. That makes Pintea have universally valid valences.
